about: Kathryn Graves

Picture
My name is Kathryn (Kat) Graves. I hold a Master of Science in School Counseling from New York Institute of Technology, where I built a strong foundation in counseling theory, developed a passion for data-informed decision-making, and discovered a deep commitment to supporting personal and professional growth in others. During my graduate studies, I interned at Deauville Gardens East Elementary School, Copiague Middle School, and Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School. There, I ran small groups, met with students to support their academic, career, and social-emotional development, and helped them grow into the best versions of themselves.

Previously, I served as a Project Manager on the Workforce Readiness Team at Northwell Health, where I helped bridge the gap between education and industry, with a focus on promoting STEM careers across Long Island. I organized impactful field trips for high school students to various sites including the Center for Emergency Medical Services and the Patient Safety Institute. I also co-led large-scale initiatives like the Medical Marvels Research Competition and the Spark! Challenge, connecting over 80 Northwell locations with schools to introduce students to meaningful careers in healthcare.
Currently, I’m a Program Manager on the Alumni Relations Team at Northwell Health. In this role, I manage a network of over 5,000 Northwell alumni—creating engaging communications, producing impactful programming, and planning dynamic events that keep our alumni connected, celebrated, and inspired.

In addition to my professional work, I volunteer my time as a Girl Scout leader, helping to shape future leaders through service, community, and empowerment. Whether I’m working with students, alumni, or colleagues, I bring compassion, creativity, and a solutions-oriented mindset to every opportunity.
My mission is simple: to leave a positive impact, inspire others, and use my skills to make a difference—whether in education, healthcare, community engagement, or wherever I’m needed. I am a highly motivated, values-driven professional who believes in continuous growth, meaningful connection, and leading with purpose.
If you’re looking for someone who can bring passion, professionalism, and people-first energy to your team or project, I invite you to take a look at my resume and counseling portfolio.
